Popping sound when braking

Popping sound when braking

Can anyone diagnose this noise?

Sometimes when I brake hard I hear a popping sound right before the car comes to a complete stop. It's hard to reproduce the sound but it's not the grinding that you hear between pads and rotors. It sounds like a clunk or a pop. It happens most often when braking hard from about 25mph.

Had smth like this after i changed the rotors. It sounded like ABS, right before stop. But Im sure it wasn't sliping.
It went away after few days..
