which setting do you put your A/C on, getting fresh air from outside, or do you hit the circulating button to keep the air inside(not fresh)?

Keep fresh air on most of the time, 'cept when there are stinky trucks nearby. Then put recirc on.

My old vehicle was a 94 Dodge Dakota. When I turned on the AC the truck would cut off when I stopped and was very difficult to get started. I love being able to press the AC button and have clean cold air. I haven't been able to use it much (winter, duh) but whenever I can I crank it up.

PS the AC on the truck was a HUGE power drain and I have noticed that there is very little loss with the Max.

I have to keep circulation once I get on highway or my car will turn into a gas chamber....those trucks need smog check big time and I am from bay area.

bay area..........the traffic, the air polution, etc. etc.
and I gotta live with those everyday <Sigh>

Recirc only when it's crazy hot out.
Summer - All windows and sunroof open
winter.. hell.. I just hit the Auto button and let the car decide.

I like the recirculating feature. My air doesnt stink. But that is probably why there is "black stuff" forming on my panel.

in the winter time aren't we supposed to push the econ button? when i put on econ at about 70 degrees (lets say its 50 outside) and then i put auto on at the same temp, the auto is a lot colder...that led me to believe that auto is for cold air (air conditioning) and econ is for the heater...am i wrong? i'm only wondering because bry2kse said in the winter he puts on his auto button

Dude, I didnt know what ECON was, so when I hit it, there was a loud noise outside the car! Oh, this was last summer when it was 95!

i think econ is only supposed to be used at a higher temp than the temp outside and auto is only supposed to be used at a lower temp than the temp outside
