You can still see it from the driver's seat. It's only blocked looking straight in front of it.

Mine is mounted above the steering wheel, partially blocking the rev meter and TOTALLY BLOCKING THE GAY A.S.S. SES light.

you do know that you can take the cluster out and remove the SES bulb?

Im either thinking about mounting it next to my radio in a pocket that I will fabricate or in the sunglass holder....

Too much work for something I can just hide from view. Besides, I like it right there in front of me. It isn't blocking enough of the RPM guage for me to care...besides, I can see RPMs in digital.

Industrial strength Velcro. That way I can take it off there if I need to.

Underhood temp, I don't monitor it much anymore but if the car sits and idles anymore than a couple of minutes the temp goes up to the 140 deg range. So I try and keep the hood open as much as possible.

That's what I figured you were doing. I was going to try that with my multimeter, but that's a more permanent solution.

What's the temp like once you start driving? Have you tried measuring any intake temps?

iirc...this is kinda like a dead horse subject.... with all the above mods...i think 3-4 hp was the average or expected gain. Wasn't much to boast about except for the serious boosted people. But still would be a gain.

The horsepower gains are negligible.

Temps go down immediately when moving and I keep it close the the intake and compare it with the intake obdii reading and the outdoor air temp which are all pretty much the same when moving.

Here is my quote from this thread for what its worth. I don't know about HP, I am not a believer in HP or dynos. What it does for my 1/4 mile time is my gauge for whats happenin.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=329341

Ok here is my take on the S-AFC II.

I got mine to alter the a/f for nitrous. However I had it for a year before I got a wideband. No wideband, no way to tell your a/f so therefore it sat there idle. I am not a believer in Dyno widebands because they don't load the same as real life, therefore I do my adjustments at the track or occasionally on a quiet road.

Oh ya before I forget about the o2 sensor thing, I use the simulators because I don't have a cat otherwise I would just extend the wires.

I decided to use one setting on the s-afcII for N/A and one for nitrous. So I started with setting up the N/A and was very surprised at the amount of fuel I had to remove to get the to 13.2-13.4 which I use as a N/A base. Currently it ranges from -6% to -11% which I feel is quite a bit for a set of headers and an intake for mods. I wish I had of checked it stock.

However with nitrous its another story I actually have to add fuel to bring the readings to 11.8-12.0, not much, between 1 and 3%.

If I was just running N/A I would buy a s-afc knowing what I know now. It actually took 2/10ths off my 1/4 time. What would it do stock, I have no idea but it would be interesting to find out.

Does the ECU alter the settings after I adjust them? No, the a/f has remained constant since first setting a few month ago.

End of rambling.

PS Would I buy a TS ECU? Not until someone convinces me it will make my car quicker. I ran a 12.5 @ 108 last sunday on a 30 HP shot of nitrous with the stock ecu and run consistent 13.5's n/a. If someone does better than that on the mods I have then I will certainly consider it.
