I seem to be having a problem with my auto. It has always had the slip between first and second but now it seems so much harsh. So my query is this-Has anyone else had to have their tranny replaced or serviced? If so, how much? My max has almost 70k and I never had the tranny serviced. Thanks guys.

 

has the fuild ever been changed? if not, definetly try that...put some good fluid in and check it out
could also be a bad valve body

 

i just had my 00 tranny worked under warranty and it was doing the same thing...they had to replace a control valve and a solinoid.

 

skip the tranny fluid change. and take it to the dealer for a tranny repair or even a tranny swap UNDER WARRANTY

I just hit 70000 miles yesterday and from a dead stop, my 2000 slams into gear under wide open throttle. I Haven't had it serviced yet, but Nissan said that they replaced the fluid when they did the TSB for hesitation b/t 1 & 2.

 

I have a 2kSE with about 73k on it now and I just started experiencing the slip between 1st and 2nd under 1/2 throttle application. I haven't had a tranny flush since my 30/35k service so I'm going to try that and hope it helps. If not, I've got the TSB for the slippage and will try working w/nissan.
