Check your warranty - I believe sungard has a lifetime warranty on all their films - see if it covers fading (that's what it sounds like).

how dark is your tint? b/c i heard somewhere that limo tints aren't warranted b/c of so much dye that goes into the film... it's at least 5 years, tho...

If you are using cleaners with amonia that is going to happen or even cleaners period. Use soap and water or warm water and a dry towel next time.

Special glass cleaners for tint.

There are tinted glass cleaners that won't damage the tint also. These can be purchased from tint shops, if they'll sell it to ya. Usually 5-10 bux a can. Some are specifically for detailing, and not offered to the public. Fortunately, my tint guys were really cool, and gave me an 18oz. aerosol can of AGC-18 Glass Cleaner (All Weather Formula). It is manufactured by BAF Industries. Their address is 1910 South Yale Street, Santa Ana, CA 92704 and Cincinnati, OH 45242. It works great. I also have the 50% Platinum Lifetime tint. Purple tint is usually a result of continued UV exposure from the sun. If you have a garage, it would last longer, but the outcome is inevitable. It will still fade over time. Ammonia-based cleaners don't normally change the color, so much as they soak through the tint (which is porous) and eat away at the adhesive that holds it to your windows. This usually causes extreme bubbling and/or peeling. Hope this helps. Also, never buy do-it-yourself tint. It sux and you'll get what you pay for. This stuff fades the fastest and is almost impossible to keep from bubbling/peeling for any length of time.

-peace out
