happened to me too.

i got stuck 2 times. waited like 5 mins after being frustrated in the parking lot thinking how i will tow this **** & then it would start.

I also changed the ignition relay, ignition coils.

could it be the crank sensor? or starter perhaps?

Note: only happened 2 times in 1 year. & it wasn't my fault, i started it correctly.

Tell us what the stealership has to say. goodluck.

Turn key and engine does not turn over or try to start at all: Ignition switch, neutral safety switch, clutch pedal switch, starter, starter relay, battery cables...

take your pick. problem needs proper diagnosis before you throw parts at it.

If the engine cranks over good but won't fire, look elsewhere.

Or it could be your immobilizer. That was my problem and I had to get a new one.

Next time something like that happens to ya... open up the hood, look down on the starter... then go open your drivers side door, click the button for the trunk. Pull out the lug wrench and wack the starter with it a few times. Get back in the car and see if it starts. My uncle has been doing that on his 98 GXE for like 3 months every once in a while till his starter gave out. I swapped a Nissan one in there for him and it fired right up on the 1st try. Took me whoppn 15 min to swap it using just some basic hand tools I brought with me - in a Walmart parking lot. If its a Immobilizer problem the little security light will be blinking while your trying to start the car. Next thing is have someone get in the drivers seat- turn off the radio, and pull out the rear lower seat cushion. Then stick your ear up to the fuel pump access cover and tell the person behind the wheel to turn on the ignition- but don't fire up the engine- if U hear the pump energize then... the pump is OK. Then have them crank while listeing closely if the pump is working. If the engine is cranking then its not the starter or the immobilizer btw. If its not cranking, 95% of the time its the starter. Just wack it with a tire wrench. Always worked for me at Nissan

ok guys.. before i towed the car to dealer.. i did bang on the starter a few time..
then i checked the ignition fuse to see if it was burnt but it was ok.. and the pump seemed it worked..
very weird

after i got the car to dealer..
i try it for one last time and the car turns on.. WTF..
but i still leave it there and they couldnt find a problem..
i dont know what the hell is going on

You should definately check the battery, have you changed your battery since you got the car? I had the same problem, and after I replaced the battery, it started right up.

Good luck.
