Im thinking about buying used struts from a fellow org'er. theyre KYB-AGX with about 20,000 miles on them.. I was wondering if you guys could tell me about the quality of these struts and what the expected lifetime of the struts are. thanks in advance.

 

I have no idea, but I wouldn't buy used struts just out of principle... just like I wouldn't buy a set of used brake pads either

 

They should have plenty of life left in them if he didn't do an extreme drop like S-tech. I know there are orgers with AGX that have far more than 20k miles on them. Hopefully they can provide input. All depends on what he's asking.

 

I bought a used set of Bilstien's for my previous car and was more than happy with their performance and quality on my vehicle. They were substantially cheaper than new, plus they had a lifetime warranty.

Of course, it does help that I knew the person that was selling them to me and that they had not been abused too badly.

 

I bought a used set of factory rear struts/springs that had about 14,000 miles on them.. They worked fine.
