Auto Tranny HELP!!!

I have posted this before, but I didn't get a reply. To anyone who had the 1st to second hard shift TSB done on their max, or had it replaced, did it solve the hard shift problem. My 01 max had the TSB done(they did solenoids and the TCM replaced) and it still shifts hard from 1st to second with half throttle or more. So I'm going to a Nissan dealership on Monday and I'm gonna puch for a tran replacement. Did anyone have their problem solved when they took it to the dealership. Sorry to repost, but Im just nervous about my car. I'm 19 and I worked hard(still am) to buy this car, I just want it to last b4 the warrenty is gone. Thanks for anyones help.

Ummm...boston, I am confused. The TSB applies to a slipping from 1st to 2nd gear. You are claiming it is shifting "hard." Those are on opposite sides of the spectrum. If it is shifting hard may I ask if you purchased your car used? Possibly from another member on this site? If so, you have may have what is called the VB mod. It had a firmer shift from 1st to 2nd gear.

I did buy it used with 24000 miles, but from an old guy who said he didnt do any work to the car. Sometimes if feels like it is slipping, but sometimes you will feel a slight bump from 1st to second with more than half throttle. Either way it doesnt feel good and I'm gonna push Nissan on Monday for a new one. Luckily my father knows someone at this dealership, maybe that will help.

ya well I live 8 miles from boston in a very congested area, spend most of the time at Lights or in traffic. So a five speed wasnt an option for me. I'll buy a 5.5 gen Max with a 6 speed when I move to Florida

I have a harsh downshift at WOT and a bad slip on the 1-2 (cold) and the 2-3 at all temps. Will keep the .org updated when I finally get my car into the shop again. Trans service was done 8k ago, car has been only gently abused.
