Ecu

From what I have read lately, would it be better for someone that has a newly intalled intake to call the dealership to get his ECU reprogramed ??
Because of the increase airflow....

It might be necessary but the only thing you really need to do to recet the ECU is unplug the battery overnight and then drive it the way you want it to drive the next time you do.

there is a diffirence between reseting the ECU and reprograming it.

- with any performance mod you should reset the ECU so it learns the new parameters (air/fuel mixture). unplug the battery overnight

- reprograming in actually changing the "software" and is done by the dealership in instances such as O2 sensors going out.

Correct, but he doesn't need to reprogram, right?
