From what I'm told, my cattman exhaust has a very similar sounding to the 350Z stock exhaust

Not to stomp on this guys thread but your sig. looks very cool.
At first glance it looked like a minuature model of a max almost like a matchbox car....very cool!

thanx for the little info, and thanx Cubanato for ur set-up. It would be sweet 2 be able 2 get the 350z/g-35 sound. You guys think it would be possible 2 get the exhaust from a 350z/g35 and fit it in other 5th gen to get that sweet sound

I think it has a lot to do with the different headers on the 350 (equal length from the factory? maybe...), so just putting the muffler from one on the max won't do anything. Not to mention that it'd be very difficult.

Possible? Maybe.

Practical? No.

I think that the 350z exhaust sounds ok for a small compact sports car, but it would sound a little to high pitched on a maxima. I have all 2 1/2 pipes and with a basani muffler and I love the low rumble not the high pitch whine of a 350z. I get more compliments on my exhaust from everyone than I ever did when I had a greddy evo.
