I got an 01 in feb and i notice when i max out the steering wheel either way you can here the linkage creek and make loud noise. It does not do it all the time and i have no problem with any handling in turns or anything. I am having to get used to the lack in a turing radius and find myself hitting the max of the streeing a lot. Most of the noise might be in reverse when i am in a parking lot.
