Greddy SP2 for 95-96 fit onto a 2k2 with little modification?

There is a guy near my hood who is selling his greddy SP2 from his 95-96 for real cheaps.....and i'm thinking of coming up on this deal.....but how hard is it to modify an SP2 to fit a 2k2 cali spec? From what I know the 95-96 exhausts are shorter than the 97-99 and most likely 2k-2k3 (correct me if i am wrong).....I also know the 97-99 exhausts come with an intermediate pipe right after the cat to plug in the o2 sensor...do you think if i used this pipe on this SP2 it should fit on my 2k2 with no problem since it extends the piping length?

steven you may be able to do it with custom piping. You can do that now for realitivly cheap.

Oic...I just need to know if this thing will fit without major modification.....cuz theres no point in buying this catback if i'm gonna be dropping in lots of money to make it fit...its like i might as well go get a brand new greddy EVO2 u know wut i mean?

anybody out there know if this GREDDY SP2 design will fit okay on a 2k2 as long as the pipe is extended? meaning will the hangers on the stock muffler fit okay on this SP2? anybody?

i called up greddy b/c unfortunatly they dont make a catback for a 99, so i asked if a evo would fit a 99...he said it would be a lot of work, b/c supposedly the route for the 00+ is different. and even tho the 95-96 isn't the same as a 99, its basically the same except for a minor difference in length and the brackets are different.

-if any of this information is incorrect, its the greddy salesperson's fault, but he seemed pretty knowledgeable.

so if u can't find sufficient info on the org, call up some companies that sell catbacks and ask them (cattman and greddy)

IMO, not worth the time and effort. If you want a Greddy, get the correct one. After you go through all of the mod work, you would have been able to buy the one you wanted.

You're near me, you can just pick up one off of me for pretty cheap. Don't you have one of our intakes? Send me an email or PM.

Regards,
Bryan

Thanks for the offer bryan....but don't u only sell brand new Greddy EVO2s? I am interested in a catback but i'm not willing to buy one brand new and especially a Greddy. You have any used ones by any chance for cheaps?

Actually i wasn't even gonna run a catback system in the first place....I was just gonna buy headers and a bpipe then call it a day....but since i saw Jon's ad for an SP2 $250...i couldn't pass up on it......and plus I use to own an SP1 for my 96 and the design looks the same (i.e. muffler hangers were same position, the way the piping bends etc etc.) as the Greddy EVO....so thats why i got all hyped up about it....well i dunno anybody else can shed some light on this?

Why not just do a set of headers then?
