K&N filter?

I just bought a K&N filter and i was wondering if there has been any problems with the MAF..
It seems pretty oily so i was just wondering before i start the car? and other problems with the filter.. like to much air? or somthing like that, anything?

I have the drop-in too and no problems at all. I have reoiled once. My MAF blew this weekend but it's clean as a whistle, just the classic 2K MAF issue. Be careful/patient when reoiling (let it dry for hours) and you will not have any problems.

I had the drop-in for 25K plus miles and never had a problem.... only problem now is that someone at frickin Nissan either stole it or threw it out (yes, I did tell them to leave my air filter alone) the last time I brought it in... found out just last week when I pulled out the filter to check it....

i used one for about 3500 miles and had no problems. it was the same filter my old sentra used, so i just swapped them when i got the max. only reason im not using it now is because i got the berk intake.

Nah... they replaced it with a generic filter which lasted me a whopping 5K miles... it makes me upset just thinkin about it again.... and the other thing is that the filter "replacement" never showed up on the invoice, so I can't take any action... its just my word against theirs....
