Hey wat up fellersssssssss......


Ok so here the deal. Right now i have a 1998 silver max with about 80,000 miles on it. Im gonna use it as a trade in to get either a 02 or 03 max. I want about 15-20 thousand miles on it and i want it the se with every option. So, how much should i b able to find this for and how much do u think i will get for a trade in. I wanna know this because i wanna have some general idea of how much i should have to pay so they dont try to screw me. Thanks in advance...............

Check www.nada.com for trade in value on your car. Depends on trim, leather, sunroof all that type of stuff.

I've also been looking for a '02-'03 and the best I found was about 17-18k with the options/mileage you listed W/O a trade in.

 

if i could get one for 17-18 that would b awesome...

Prices vary most fully loaded ones go from 17k-to close to 20k for the 03 prices vary. Its going to be tough to find one with Nav.

 

I don't know if he had the Navi in mind too, but those are really rare. I saw a '02 sheer silver SE with Navi and 20k+ miles selling for $19,xxx. Expect to pay anywhere around 2k more for the Navi option alone, just like when the car was new...

If we're talking about any other option but Navi, try to find a '03 Titanium Edition. They look awesome and most of them are fully loaded. In my area they go for around 17k, but again I live in that part of the States where cars sell the cheapest...

 

IMO you'll be lucky to get $6k on the car as trade-in, unless they give you a good deal on that and ream you on the 02.

I would strongly encourage you to sell the '98 private party. This effort will save you $1-2k.

 

well honestly its too much trouble to sell it privately...too lazy lol....but i was considering navi cuz ino how rare it is...if i could find one with it i would jump on it...but its not that important to me...thanks for the input....im goin to look now...i will post the price that the dealer has...peace

 

I agree with skoorb.... best chance of having a good deal, i got screwed last year going from a 96 to a 2000, but it's worth it!

Whatever you do, make sure you get a 6-speed w/ the HLSD!!!
