This is not speaking from experience so take my words for what they are but I'd imagine aftermarket springs and struts to improve handling due to the drop and how they are developed to maximize handling. I really doubt they will make your car "handle bad." I've really only heard good things about them.

it will definately handle much better with the stiffer setup it will be just more bumpy thats all... if you put bigger wheels with lower profile tires that will even help handling. Because of the upgraded suspension i can take turns much quicker now

It won't handle bad. What you may experience is a rougher ride on bumps, uneven roads etc. I have the Illuminas with H&Rs and they pair up great on the 4th. gen.

Yeah but youre asking about ride quality. Stock is the smoothest ride while dropped with any combo is harsher. If you mean handling quality then drop it, stick bigger (i.e. wider) tires on it and get good shocks. I'm on Tein H-Tech w/ Illuminas plus 245/40-18 rubber and it rides pretty decent, handling is great but you can feel the side wall flex.

I actually think my H&R and Illumina setup is smoother than my stock setup was.
