What kind of gas mileage can I expect from an 02SE 6spd? Thanks.

The majority of the time I average 25-26 MPG 50/50 city/highway driving. BTW I drive about 80 on the highway.

We average around 25-27 with normal daily driving (mix of hwy/city). On our last trip back from MO we got around 35mpg (I can almost make it 500 miles on one tank).

how in the he!! are u guys gettin 35mpg? the EPA estimates the 5.5 gen maxima 6spd to be 28 on the highway....and thats with granny conditions.....i know becuz i read somewhere that the EPA uses very conservative testing methods compared to real world....the real world is usually alot lower....

but can u tell me wut kind of conditions u drove in? and also how many miles u traveled and how many gallons u filled up using wut kind of gas?

it's hard to believe this becuz I never get nowhere near 35mpg even if i drove that thing like a grandmother....I get about 22mpg highway....but with pretty harsh conditions....

Yeah, I have an auto 01 and the most I've gotten was like 25-26 mpg when I was driving on the highway without my AC on. I may be able to get like 30 mpg if I drive without A/c and at like 65, but let's face it, it's hard to keep the max under 75 on road trips. The 02 max shoudl get about the same gas mileage, and I am very surprise d to hear people getting around 30 mpg while driving 80 on the highway, doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, I guess if I wanted better gas mileage I should have bought a Prius or some hybrid car, which will never happen.

I recently got 33.8 on the highway. That was driving above the speed limit as well

my driving is 99% city, so my mpg is pretty much 21 all the time with an auto, random bursts of speed, hard acceleration off the line, etc.

Dang...I have an 01 AE Auto and I got about 22mpg driving 110 all the way from Denver to Wyoming. Driving 91 coming back I got about 25-26 but I just had the cruise control on the entire time.
