Fog Light Lenses

Hello everyone, I have an 03 SE and the fog light lenses(the glass cover) on both my fog lights are cracked. I don't know how or when it happened but I would like to replace them. I've called the dealers and the cheapest i've found so far is $174 each! The dealers dont sell the lenses alone...you have to buy the whole attachment(light, case, lens and all). The junk yards i've called don't have any so...

1. does anyone know where I can find just the lenses?
2. how easy are these to install? do you have to take off the bumper or anything like that?
3. are there aftermarket options that would look 'cooler'. If i'm going to spend $174 each, i'de rather get something that looks better.
4. please feel free to suggest any other avenues to fixing this problem.

thanks in advance...any kinda input would be great.

When I changed my fog light bulbs, I didn't see any way to seperate the lense from the housing, and numerous people have been complaining about their lenses cracking lately and they all had to replace the whole housing. It is not that hard to change the foglights out there is a how-to in the FAQ sticky at the top of the page. Hope this helps.

For some weird reason, not only are they expensive, but they're a different price between the L and R light.

Thanks guys, that helps immensely. I found the how-to but the links aren't working at the moment. I'll try again later.

Meanwhile I found this site selling them for $56.95. Are these what I need?

You might even be able to get a pair of 2k-2k1s for less money and they will last forever (they're plastic). I don't know about fitment issues though.

No, these won't work. The 2K foglights are not the same as the 2K2/2K3 foglights.

If you are looking for OEM foglights, try www.jerryromenissan.com part #B61E05Y700. They are currently listed there for $159.95 + shipping. I also recommend this time purchase some foglight protection film or you will find these lenses breaking again. S/N 2002 Maxima SE (here on the org) will sell this to you.

I did this about 6 months ago and my experience with both Jerry Rome Nissan and 2002 Maxima SE was excellent. And so far so good on the new foglights.

i bought these two weeks ago and its a direct fitment... looks exactly the same and very easy to install... just go underneith the car and remove 2 or 3 screws that attaches the black plastic peice that is right underneith the fog lights... unscrew the two screws behind the foglight and unplug the switch and thats it... real simple...i'm so glad i didn't pay anybody to do it for me...it's a great fog and have no problems with it so far....

both of mine have been cracked for a long time, the cracks in both lenses are pretty much the same pattern. not sure if they're just that delicate or if the heat generated from the bulb might also be a culprit. either way i almost never use the fogs anymore so i'll probably just leave them as is.
