Cross threaded Control Arm Hole

Cross threaded Control Arm Hole
I've got a big problem. I was replacing the control arm on my 2001 max se and everything was going fine. When I was putting on the new arm I some how cross threaded one odf the holes. The bolts themselves have no visable damage. They both work fine in one hole but when i try to use them in the cross threaded hole they only go in so far before they just stop. Can I get a tap the same size as the bolt and clean out the threads? Has any one done tapping before? Any help is appreciated.

I have always heard of using a dye(maybe the same thing as a tap) in those situations, if had to use one before on one of my suspension bolts. If i were would you i would try it out.
