I was thinking getting the stillen supercharger. Y-pipe and muffler. Also the cold air intake. Should I be around 280hp then?

Wow.. You must have alot of $$$...... Why don't you get a catback system with the muffler. That way you'll be around 285hps.

Uh the SC is your intake so you can't really get the CAI too. Also are you talking horsepower to the wheels or flywheel horsepower?

I guess flywheel horespower. Is the catback exhaust better than the Y-pipe?

No, a Y-pipe($350-450) will get you about 10-13 horsepower to the wheels, where as, the catback($150-550+) will get around 5 hp to the wheels.

If your going to do the supercharger, don't get the intake. The SC comes with the filter. Keep us posted of how everything goes.

hp to flywheel only measure the engine output.
hp to the wheel measures how fast the acutal car is when it is running....it is easy to have a high hp engine but there is a lot more work in order to distribute all the power to the wheels.

correction?

it is not about how fast u drive, but how u drive fast =)

Don't think that S/C is going to work with an auto b/c it loses power each time the car changes gears. Does't work too well with an auto.

At least one 5th gen owner is packing boost... possibly more. It does work but you're not going to get the same gain you would in a manual.

about the supercharger on the auto tranny you may need to get the torque converter if you want your car to last and spread more hp through the band...... good luck i heard you have to spend alot of money to get it to run right ..... have fun let me know how everything works cause i may have to join you on that

The valvebody recalibration is recommended. It's either $450 or ~$800 depending on who you get it from.

Get a level 10 rebuild while you're at it

Here is/are the best procedure, IMHO:
1) But VB recal from Don. (450 vs. ~800)
2) Get TC from ProTorque. (400 vs. ~800)
3) Send tranny to Level 10. (no other choice if you can't do the labor yourself, but only ~$800 if you can)

A NorCal person asked a ProTorque employee what the difference was between their TC and Level 10's. The employee responded with something like we sell products to Level 10. So...........

Cat-back = b-pipe + muffler

Y pipe = y pipe

For more info, click on Maxima.org in the upper left corner, then click on Max FAQs.

Those two are options... the third is to buy the parts and do it yourself.
