DRL module-fix(FYI)

My 1st post and a great site.
This occured a few months ago. I own a max 2K SE.
Just the right headlight wasnt illluminating on AUTO or normal set but came 'on' at high and low beam position.
Was not a bulb problem. Took it to the dealer and they found it was the daytime-running-light module(located behind the WW fluid container and is about 4"X6" and has 3 harness input connections)
The mechanic at the dealer told me I needed a new one at $350 CDN + labor, but also mentioned if you knock on it with a screwdriver the light comes 'on' so I assumed an internal electrical problem that maybe could be fixed so I only paid for the inspection (30$).

FIX:
I simply removed the module, split it apart carefully and inspected the circuit board under a mag.glass. I found one of the soderings loose on the 3 pin harness input line. Interesting. I sodered the loose contact.
Re-installed the module, crossed my fingers and YES I have my right light back!:-)
So if one of the front headlights dont illuminate in different settings, check this module before buying a new one.
