Camshaft position sensor recall...loss of power?

When i dropped my car off today for the window, paint, and fog light, i also mentioned i was feeling a loss of power during acceleration. he informed me that i needed this recall done, and it could definitley contribute to the loss of power. he said they would look into the MAF sensor after this camshaft thing was checked.

so is that legit? would i feel a loss of power because of that? this was the service manager at Lynnes Nissan West.

the dealer gets a lot more $$$ for doing the recall (camshaft position sensor replacement) vs the TSB (maf failure) job. at one dealer i was hoping by giving them the job of doing the recall item that they would be willing to do the maf tsb, but no luck. i had to get the maf sensor replaced at another dealer

Jon (2k2whitemaxi/Cubanato) did his recall and the power came back.....he also had a loss of power.....

when we raced (me stock, he headers/I/E) I stayed with him if not pull on him.

DO THE RECALL!
