Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

well my GLE got keyed today while I was at work

someone scratched my driver side rear door and part of my rear quarter panel
I was wondering what a good option is to fix it
outside of a repaint
is Nissan Touchup Paint okay?
its Sterling Mist so it has metallic paint

I feel your pain bro....my car is coming home with battle scars every day from the school parking lot. People need to watch what the ***** they are doing! I freak out when I get back to my car in the parking lot and next to it is a POS 15 year old beater car complete with peeling paint, rust spots, dents all over, greasy fingerprints on every window and half broken hub caps. For someone to key another car, that is low.

Don't bother with touchup paint. I've tried it before and it makes it look worse because it doesn't match the paint and it doesn't have clearcoat.

The only thing that can be done is the bodyshop. They have to sand it down a bit and match the paint for the scratch to blend in.

Or if your really handy, go to the Do it yourself website DIYdotcom I think and has some directions on how to repair scratches.

yeah but in all I think Im over it
I found out that the parking area where I was parked has a digital survelience camera
but even if i do find out who did it
what can i really do?

Im going to take my Max in to the dealership
for an oil change and have them take a look at it
maybe it can be buffed out with a compound
even if it doesnt im sure eventually Ill have the dough to get it properly fixed
right now im just gonna have to deal with it

to miss-quote john travolta in pulp fiction talking about his car getting keyed:

"what kind of spineless bastard f#%ks with another mans car? It almost would have been worth it being done, if I could have caught him doing it"

sorry to hear man, it truly does take a real POS human being to do something like that, you just dont mess w/ a mans car like that, hope you find em & don't end up footing the bill.
