Warranty Question

I was considering purchasing a 2k2 Maxima, but was wondering, is the initial warranty that came with the car (I think it is 3/36k, correct me if I am wrong) transferable to myself when I get the car. In other words would I be able to take the car into my local nissan dealer and have them fix something wrong with it that is covered under the original warranty and not get charged for it? Btw the car was purchased in January of 2002, so warranty is up in January of 2005.

The reason I am asking this in the first place is because, the Maxima I was considering has an Intake on it, and also has a different MAS than stock, and the check engine light is on. I was told that multiple people on the board have had this problem with their 2k2 Maximas, is there a solution to this problem? Or is there nothing for me to be worried about.

Thanks and Best Regards, Derek
