Hi all,

1st post here. I'm going to test drive a 2002 SE 6-speed today; 30k miles.
Thought I'd drop a line and ask if there are any problem spots you can point out to me that will help me out today while looking the car over.
I'll catch the general stuff, but I was hoping you all could let me know about Maxima-specifc (5th Gen) problem areas.

Some specs: 2002 SE, Blue/Grey, Manual, Moonroof, Leather, 30K, Bose. Sorry, but that is all I know now.

Ask about the 30000 mile check-up, has it been performed if not have it done, also change the rotors they tend to warp frequently try to get the dealer to put some brembos or iRotors on it for you or something... thats all i can think of.

OOOHHHH yeah and check the bose headunit cause it tends to crap out frequently also!!!

 

The Bose unit sucks and will suck.... it skips in cold weather and the left side speakers come in and out.... many other 02 owners will tell ya the same thing, but apart from that and a soft suspension, I think the car is awesome....

I haven't had any trouble with my rotors yet and I have 35k miles, so I can't comment on that just yet...
