post pics of your exhaust?

I just want to get an idea of what exhausts are out there, and what they look like on the car. especially you guys with stillen rears. i like greddy, but dont like the price or the HUGE coffee can-ness of the muffler/tip. i like something about the size of an IS300 tip is nice, maybe dual of that. not sure. thanks guys, for the pics/ideas.

This is OBX catback. Sometimes I don't like the look and others I think it isnt that bad. Once I put on the Stillen rear then it will look much better.

That magnaflow tip setup is what I have been trying to get from them. They DO NOT make a 2.5 SS muffler with those tips, so I had to go and buy one of their custom SS mufflers with no tips and 2.5 in/out and then buy two tips to go with it. I will put it on next spring, should look just like that without any loss of power from the 2.5 piping.

yeah. thats what i was tryin to find, an SS muffler with those tips. does anyone make a catback with those tips? i guess theoretically i could get a custom cat back made and then use those tips with one of their generic mufflers.

Here is what you will need to get from Magnaflow:

Part: 14258 2.5 inlet to dual 2.5 out.
and then go select the part number for the tips you want. You can find it all on magnaflows site.

Yo V,

I think I saw your ride on the Herndon Pkwy last week. I was rolling behind you in my SE coming up to Sterling Rd. I was trying to get a closer look at the Frankencar, then you turned off.

Anyway, very stealthy ride...not even a spoiler.

I like that sound of the dual exhaust. I think that your exhaust has a sound all its own. V8 muscle car sound its not.Its missing that real deep V8 idle. Sounds similar to a friend of mine. He has a custom setup on his 94 Turbo Supra.

No, it doesnt sound like a 350. Maybe in your head, but I am telling you it doesnt. You are smokin something Igor.

I just cut off my OBX and used the 2.5 piping all the way back. Setup is now with a Magnaflow and 3" magnaflow tips. I think it sounds like A$$ unless you are above 4,000RPM, then yes, it sounds 350-ish, but that period getting up to 4000 sounds like a fart tip. It is too loud, drones like a mule in heat, and attracts every cop car within a half block. I am let down by the magnaflow sound, not to mention it was no easy task for my shop guy to hook up.

I am going back to him tomorrow to do something customer with the stock muffler, the magnaflow tips, and the 2.5 piping. Should sound OK, but more than that I wont have to wear ear plugs when I drive my own ride. It just sounds cheap. I think the OBX sound was way better, and I didnt like that either. argh. maybe I should have picked up a franken-back after all the money I have dropped on different parts.
