Do you leave your intake on all year long?

Hi,
I have had my Berk w/ Apexi for about 2 weeks now and love it.
I live in the north east ans was wondering.
Do you leave an intake on through the winter?
Also
What care does the Apexi filter need?

Intakes work better though the winter. Cold air is more dense producing more hp.

About the only thing you can do is take your Apexi filter off and vaccum it.

I did think that it'd be fun driving with my Berk in the cold winter air cuz I'd get more low & mid gains along with the high end it already had... but I never did think about potential issues.... nice point ya raised there... glad to hear from Virus and Irish and there aren't any issues... well, besides the risk of more speeding on my part to maximize my intake.....

Had my intake in since I had my car (Dec 01) and no issues with winter driving at all.

Actually have had all my problems during hot summer months, not snowy winters.

I think the Berk (and similar) intake may be even "safer" than stock in the winter. With the filter/area of air intake "protected" in the back of the engine bay, you don't run the risk of stopping air flow if the front grill get covered with snow as could happen with the stock set up.

If you mean for the winter as in snow....you don't need more HP but why not leave it on since it won't ever be touched by snow.

Could anyone with the Berk Intake take some pictures of it installed? I just got one from Bryan at Berk but haven't had the time to install it. I'm just confused on the installation of the pipe. If I had a close up, I would have a clue. Thanks!

Thanks man. Appreciate it, but I have a 2001, and I bought the Apexi one. The midpipe looks the same except at the end, there are 2 little pipes sticking out of it..hard to explain. Thats what I'm looking to see where it goes. But thanks for the pics! Looks good.
