ok well usually when i punch the gas the car doesnt pick up speeds as fast as it use too . ill see the rpm's jump like always but the mph needle doesnt pick up to fast . the cars been sluggish for about 2 months now. what could it be ? all i have as a perfomace mod is a cai.

 

how many miles and yes it sounds exactly like transmission slippage, without driving it myself its kinda hard to say though. see if anyone knows the stall speed for the converter. when you find that out put the car in drive and mash the brake with all your power and hit the gas to the floor the engine should rev to your approximate stall speed if it is significantly higher than that means that there is prolly an internal fault in the transmission for which you will need to find a professional. i would suggest you take it to a pro anyways. by the way, have you recently had your transmission serviced if not then check the color smell and feel of the trans fluid.

 

i have about 18k on the tranny and the color of the tranny fluid is alright .

Change your MAF for now and see what happen.And then reset your ECU.
It happen to me too,same thing you said.

If that did not solve the problem then I don't know ,ineed to see and test the car in person to say what is wrong.
