2000 Maxima hesitating, lugging in overdrive...

I have a 2000 Maxima SE, automatic with approx. 78k miles, I have already replaced the ignition coils and MAF sensor. I replaced it all myself. Could this be caused or creat any problems because I haven't had the new program for the TSB along with the new MAF sensor? What is involved to do this?

Symptoms... I will be driving down the road and in overdrive, and the car will feel like the traction control is kicking off power or the car is trying to lock up the torque convertor, or downshift? The RPM will fall, the car will kind of lug for a second or 2 and then it will be fine. I noticed this happening when the ignition coils were bad and the SES light was on as well as both traction lights. I read somewhere were the ignition coils could cause the traction light to come on, well since I replaced the coils the light hasn't come back on. The problem seemed to go away or atleast deminish for a few weeks. Now its back, does this sound like torque convertor? electrical problem? sensor?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Just had a similar problem...I was trying to figure out the SES light on, P0171,0174, bank 1,2 lean...Started having cold start stalls and poor acceleration. I unplugged the MAF and it sucked...didn't rev above 2.5k rpm...and when I plugged it back in I had some major bs while driving it for the first 50 miles or so...same thing, just driving along about 40mph, and the rpms would drop, car would stutter and feel like crap. It went away for a bit but just recently came back again...same thing. If I put it in Drive it would seem to go away, (but it eventually didn't), but it was worse in OD.
Just got it back from the dealer today with a new MAF sensor AND a reprogrammed ECU...all set. It just might be the reprogramming of the ECU that you need....but then again, I'm a noob with this stuff...

Thanks for the replies, I may have to get the ECU reprogramed. I was worried it was something mechanical as it seems to be getting worse, and also worse when the car is cold. I have also taken the car out of overdrive and it doesn't seem to do it. I had alot of cold start issues and pinging before I replaced the MAF that went away after replacing, but never noticed this before. Thanks again....
