I followed the 350Z SES reset instructions for my 2002 Max and that 'voodoo-magic' recipe for the reset doesn't work. I've tried it 5 times now and counted the seconds for turning the key to "on"/off sequences and pedal depressions/release. No luck. There must be a specific set of instructions for our car somewhere similar to the 4th generations which is much easier (turn reset screw back/forth 2 times)?????

I check the sticky's and nothing specific to the 2002 max, only the 350Z which doesn't work. ANyone have success resetting their service engine soon light?

Maybe you do have issue(s) with the car where you need to go to Autozone or the dealer to pull the code. Resetting the ECU will not always clear out the light.

I've reset my 02 Maxima ECU before using the 350Z reset procedure and it does work. You literally need a stop watch to get it exact...that was the only way I could get it to work. Good luck.
