Tool for Rear Brake Piston 03Maxima
What special tool did you guys use to push the piston in for the rear brake piston to replace brake pads?
I used the brake piston tool for the front which pushes the piston in but I know you need a special took for the rear because it doesn't work with the tool used in the front.
What does it look like and where can I get one?
Thank You

That's sick Yeah I think that would work out but I might scratch it up or even strip the edges.
I guess I will have to visit the auto store today to buy that tool and give it a shot again. But you should have seen me taking the front off with the normal brake tool that pushed the piston in without a problem. It took me an hour to do it and thought it was so easy until I looked at the rear brakes. I was not familiar with the piston that is used in the rear. I had a honda before and it was drums in the rear and my other cars I had were not like this as well. This is something new to me.
Thanks for you help

yeah, I use a decent pair of needle-nose pliers and gently turn it clockwise... be careful 'cause you don't want to slip and rip the rubber seal around it
be slow and steady with it.

Isn't this weird.... We own great reliable cars... but if you look at the rear breaks we are talking about, breaks from the 280 ZX that started in 1979. I think NIssan is trying to get rid of all the break systems they still have in stock...hehehehe.
