DDE Issues

I'm debating on buying DDE's for my max. Has anyone experienced any problems with their DDE's and if so, what problems have you experienced? If you could list any issues, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've only had mine on for about two months, and have had minimal problems. I did have a short between the connectors that prevented one of the rings from lighting up. I just followed housecor's instructions for hard wiring, after hardwiring, there have been no problems at all.

DDE's are a very nice mod. I've had a few problems with inverters going out but Umnitza has always taken care of me and sent me out replacements.

I have heard of a DDE brighter that the other but that was easily fixed.

If you deside to do it make sure you do everything you wanna do is done cause you don't want to take it apart twice. clear out the blinker if you want too. black out the housing if that intrest you at all, you know stuff like that. think of everything.

Cold start issues - just turn them on/off a couple times and they fire up fine
Ballasts - One of mine died after a couple months. Replacements = $15/ea. So one might as well dip the entire thing in silicone b/c them burning out frequently could add up $$.

i've had mine for a couple months and no issues at all. (knock on wood) the best way to reduce issues is to take your time and install them properly.
