HELP!!! Getting code P-1320, ignition coils bad

Hey Fellas,

Thanks for all your help. I went to Autozone and they read the code. The code is P-1320. Of course autozone did not know what the code was so I called Nissan. They told me it's the ignition coils. The guy said the total amounts of coils are 6 and 2 different types. Wondering if you guys know how to fix this issue. Nissan charging me $ 85 X 6 and $ 250 labor. I think they mean the spark plug wires.

Thanks

Ignition Coils

Not sure about the spark plug wires, but I took mine to Nissan last wek and had it diagnosed with the same problem. I think I saw a thread about this posted before. Anybody remember? Anyways, you're right, I was quoted about $700+ to fix it. I checked with my friend at Nissan and the part itself is less than $50 bucks at cost. The service writer also told me that there was no way of telling which coil was bad, so you have to change all 6. You would think that with the technology built into these computers, it would be able to pin point which one. Oh well, the price you pay to drive an A33. I need to order mine though, the SES light bugs me, and my car seems to be mis-firing. Good Luck!

Check around on different Nissan dealer sites online. There are a couple that most of the .Orgers use pretty regularly..Courtesy, Jerry Rome. You can find the parts at a cheaper price and do it yourself. As for the "spark plug wires", the Maxima does not have any. Seems like most of the late model cars today are using coil packs, hence the "ignition coils" they were speaking of. Here's a website from Jay Naeem with pictures detailing changing spark plugs. http://www.nissanx.net/tanman/
You might as well do that too while you're at it.

You can get the 6 coils online for $300.00 and change them yourself (free). It was very easy to do, even for a novice like me.
