I just replaced the alternator.. and everything went smooth, now I have a gounding noise when I put the car in gear. It is an automatic, I changed the belt also. Couls it be loose? When I accelrate the car the noise goes away.......

 

A what kind of noise?

and this is only when you put your car in gear?

 

is a rattling noise and only happen when in gear

 

figure it out.. the bolt that hold the alternator at the botton was not tight enough... Fixed....

I have this problem. What exactly did you do to fix it

 

I lowered the ac down again to adjust the bolt that is just above it.......... what problem do you have.....

This is a nice write up I used... once you ar down there is really easy.... but patience you have to have... but not me... that's why I forgot to adjust the screw...
