it should say right above where you put the CD that you have 6CD changer in dash. Didnt the 6CD in dash changer come std on 5.5 gens? 5 gens got a single CD player.

I do believe you're right. The 5.5 gen got rid of the GXE trim and thus both the GLE and SE come with the 6 disc changer standard. Here's how they work. To eject a cd just push the eject button and it will ask you which one you want to eject. Select it by using the 1-6 radio station presets. Loading a CD is pretty much the same. Push the load button and select which CD number you want to load. You will have to wait a few seconds until it says INSERT CD before putting one in.

The LOAD button is labeled just and if I remember correctly it is located to the left of where you load the CDs -- directly opposite the eject button.

Incrorrect. I also just got a 2002 SE, without the BOSE, and there is no in-dash changer. (But if you have the Bose, I guess the changer should be standard.)

So, if you have a "load" button just to the left of the CD slot, then you have the changer. No load button? No changer. I'm in that boat and now I've got to figure out what I want to do audio-wise in this car.

unless you wanted to get a brand new face i say just add a cd changer either in the trunk or under one of the seats.

i believe that the only way you could run a cd changer through your speakers would be to either...

A-- buy a new head unit that has cd changer controls.

or

B-- buy an FM modulator for the cd changer that you have already and then tune the radio in your car to the same frequency as the cd changer. save the frequency as one of your presets. the sound quality of these are almost always not as good as hardwired...especially if you live in the city... plus, you may not be able to even buy an fm modulator for the cd player you have.

6 Disc in dash was not standard on any 02 SE or 03 SE only only on the 02/03 GLE.
In 02 it was apart of the bose audio option for the SE and in 03 it was part of the Titanium Package on the SE. The Few GXE's for 02/03 did'nt have that option. Also their is something like CDRS on the edge of the head unit fo rthose with 6Disc in dash unlike the ones without it.
