Besides NOS and Forced induction. What do you guys think gave you the most power i.e. rear section exhaust, Y-pipe, intake, underdrive pulley, ECU etc.

Y-pipe. Y-pipe and Intake together are best bang for the buck. Underdrive pulley is probably next. cat-back exhaust is somewhat expensive and results are open to debate. There is no ecu for 5th gens.

I have heard ppl complaining lose of low end torque with Stillen/Pop charger Intake, but have also seen ppl claming that stillen intake and CAI make about the same HP Gain!

What 's the conclusion???

Thanks
Tim

You know what we should do, everyone? We should get all our mod info together and put out a table that shows $/hp for each hp enhancing mod and the manufacturers. I'm sure that'll help some of the maxima.org people with their decision making.

Just a thought.

You can't simulate airflow while on the dyno, so with the CAI will not be seen. If you take your car to the track and use the SI on a run and the CAI on another (given variables stay the same), the CAI run will perform better because it's getting colder air (members can verify this).

I like the idea of having a sticky with known performance mods and what to expect, either in terms of HP, torque, or both, plus the expected outlay of money. I liken this to the recent Import Tuner (?) article with the exhaust, K&N filter, and Nitrous.
