slotted rotor installed? Which directions?

what direction are the slots supposed to be facing? (Images would be BEST!!!) Brembo slotted cross drilled if it makes a difference.

Thanks

Greg

hey if this is your driver side tire your rotor should face this way. " \ " thats how your slots should face. so that the top of the slot hooks down \ \ \ \ \ when rotating.

driver side wheel.

I seriously doubt it even matters. I think I have my fronts on "wrong" by the pics shown above anyway.

For those rotors it matters, NOT BECAUSE OF THE SLOTS, but because of the curved vents inside the center. All rotors I've seen for the Maxima (including my 2k4 OEM, and 2k4 iRotors) have straight vents, so it doesn't matter.

The "premature fatigue/failure" they're referring to is the fact that air won't pass properly through the center vents if those are installed the wrong direction. Therefore, they will not receive proper cooling and will overheat.

it says it gathers up heat that way. plus my wheels don't get dirty with these slotted rotors. I use to get more dust with the OEM'S.

My PowerSlots specifically mention which rotor goes on which side.

Here's a shot of the rear driver side wheel i took recently.

that's how I did my fronts. It makes sense because it causes pad material to migrate to the outside, which allows it to escape (although my iRotors slots don't actually go all the way out to the edge, and on top of that, the pads don't completely contact the rotor since there's a sliver hanging off due to the shape difference from the bigger rotors).
On the other hand, the other way around would cause pad material to migrate to the center, where it would be flung back out by centripetal force.
