changing climate control

would it be hard to change the climate control from the sliding controls to the lcd lighted display climate control. do the plugs in the back fit? how much work does it entail? what about the sensors for the temperature inside and out? anyone have an idea?
this is for an 02 se...

did anyone ever do this or at least contemplate it?

any and all input is appreciated

I wanted to do it as well, not a clue how hard, but if anyone has or has a clue, fill us in.

I have attempted to do it. Purchased the digital climate control, everything.

Here is the problem. On the manual temp controller, there is an extra harness that has no where to be placed on the digital and so it gets no power. Plus, it requires 2 sensors to work correctly.

I pictures of it. The front and back. I will post them later today.

There are two on bay if anyone is interested. I have heard that the change is too expensive and the Nissan dealership told me that it was not a good idea.

Once again, this needs to be one of the stickys as I seen this topic come up 3 times in the last week or 2. No I can't be done, dash has to come out, new harness needs to be installed, new sensors need to be installed. Its not worth it, plus manual AC works better.
