First, I would like say that this will be my first Posting as a new member and secondly, it's great to have a forum where true Max car owners can share info. So, BIG'UPs as they say in hip-hop to whomever created this site. I just purchased my 3rd Maxima car about 3 weeks ago, an I have to say that, yes, the '01-SE drives stiffer than my '96-GXE and the '99-SE I traded in. I have to say that I had doubts on this car (purchasing and styling issues) and I came very close to choosing a '99 MB-CLK-V6 over it. But for practicality reasons, a car that has probibly the best V-6 constructed in the last 8 years and a tad under $30,000 price tag was a better nudge than the world class reputation of a Mercedes badge for me. Besides both cars are practicaly door handle to door handle from 0 to 60 and a few other categories from what I've seen. In the long run I'll save a few pennies more, and be happy, maxing along as usual.
