Checking MAF Sensor (Cleaning?)

I know i will likely catch alot for this but here it goes. I pretty sure my MAF sensor is malfunctioning so I wanted to check the connector. How do you get the thing off? How does the wiring connector disconnect ? Should it move at all while connected? Mine moves very slightly just a enough to notice it seems fine but i don't know if the sensor is very picky. I checked other connectors some O2 sensors move some don't I have CA model. I also heard someone say cleaning the sensor what type of product would be good to cleanthe MAF sensor with.
