Are the Nissan Z Horns Plug and Play like the Hella?

But mine were regular black plastic and didn't look like those.

The Hellas are not plug and play (at least not the high powered #85115 Supertones)... but the Z horns probably are.
You COULD plug the old wires into new Hella's (plus you have to add an extra ground wire) and it would work. But they draw so much power that you risk burning something out. The standard practive is to use one of the old horn wires to trigger a relay, which connects between the battery and your new Hellas.
The proper heavy gauge wiring is needed to let the Hella's be as loud as the can be.

The Z horns are true plug-n-play.
Step 1: Unbox new horns
Step 2: Unplug horns
Step 3: Remove Existing horns with wrench
Step 4: Install New horns with wrench
Step 5: Plug in new horns
Step 6: Enjoy!!

Maxio - Wow... good deal on those Z horns! I'm ordering one ASAP! It kinda sounds like an exotic sports car horn.

I heard the sound clip of the horns... but damn paying $23.00 for shipping is not a good deal......
Yes, these Z horns are far better than the factory horn! I had installed these as soon as I got my 2KSE. I have the JDM ones and they sound as good as the OEM Z horns. They are just a little less expensive, but well worth the money. The only hard part is squeezing your hand between the grill and removing the factory bracket. There's a ground wire you must attach to the horns in order for them to work, though. Here is a pic of them installed in my car. The other one is installed left of the engine bay.
yeah i forgot about the horn on the left side...but i just picked mine up from courtesy parts...and they look like the ones in the first post, but how do i ground them, i thought they were totally plug and play but apparently i have ground both...
