it looks really nice but just curious how good that navi is compared to aftermarket ones such as eclipse and pioneer. Wondering if it would be worth it to have just went aftermarket if your making such a big investment anyway. Not trying to knock on your project. I'm sure its going to look hot and i've never heard a complaint about stock navi...atleast not on maxima's but just curious which is better....

i gave up a long time ago and sold the navi (for a profit) and went with the eclipse and havent looked back

the navi itself is the cheapest part of the install, getting the climate control to work is the hardest part, and splicing too many things in the wiring harness

it really doesnt make sense

get the eclipse and be done with it

pull yours out and you will realize it is less than a direct splice and swap project. the thing is nissan did not prewire all cars for the navi option... but that's why they charged you 2k+ extra for it
right...thats exactly what I do...you should know since you know all.

It's not that hard to do, I've looked into it. All wires you need are at the ECU, I have somewhere on my old PC a mapped out diagram I made. I was also going to convert to this setup but went with eclipse for other reasons.

Currently I'm in search of a digital climate harness and sensor. Once I get that, I will convert over to digital

its not that simple dude

the whole wiring harness is different, not just the climate control, there are different wires going to different places

not a worthwile swap

Do you still have the unit? I might be willing to give this a go...

With the time that it will take to get going, I'd just buy an aftermarket navi.

Aftermarket navi's are leaps and bounds better than factory also.
