how do i know which car this ecu came off of?

ok, here's the thing, i bought an ecu from a salvage yard and i think it either is messed up, or my engine is messed up or it's the wrong ecu.. i lost the paper that said which car the ecu was off of but i have the numbers that's right below the bar code
the number is as follows:
04611284-WA56M33Z06WW

my car is cali-spec.. and i suspect that this ecu is off of a fed spec..
i needed a new ecu for my 5-speed swap.. would it make any difference if it is off a fed spec car?
thanks in advanced.. help will be greatly appreciated =D

Cali spec has more sensors on the intake manifold, it also has no EGR, so no sensors are needed. Where Fed emissions has EGR and it will definitally throw a check engine light for that.
