power windows problem

for some reason the both front power windows are having a tough time raising themselves ..no problems going down but when i raise them they make a sqeeeeek sound and then resume normal operation
Im thinking it may be the rubber seal thats causeing it to stick
last nite was humid and the pass side window didnt go up at all
none of the other windows including the sunroof has any problems
I have a 2000 gle ANY IDeas?

Get yourself some wet silicone spray in the aerosol can, spray it down the window run channels. Lube it up gooood. And then with the car on try to raise and lower it up and down. Then clean off your windows from any residue. I do this every 30K miles or so when I do my maintenance on my car. Alot of dirt and stuff likes to get in those window run channels when I drive with the window open.

Where can you find wet silicone spray?

Any autoparts store should carry it, or Home Depot even. I use 3M and have had great results from it. White Lithium grease works good too, but its a HUGE mess. Even after cleaning the windows it will still show up every time you roll down the window.

Get a bottle of the new product name "Silicon Dry." My front windows were like yours, but when I spray on the seal, it no longer makes the "Geeeeeek" sound.

Any idea if this is safe to use on tinted windows? And where might I pick up a bottle?

The product is safe, it won't leave the greasy look on the windows. I also
got tint. Dont worry, it won't turn your tint to purple.
