Ebay HID kit

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

The guy says this is hi/lo set up. A halogen hi beam bulb is attached to the same harness and the HID bulb is the low beam. Would this be an easy install for our H4 headlamps? Looks pretty cheap for HID.

That "hi beam" bulb looks like a 194 bulb- which is the size of the bulb our cars use for side markers ! How someone expects this bulb to put out light output comparable to a H4 bulb is gotta be smoking some gooood stuff. Its like a parking light bulb, nothing else. This kit looks pretty cheap to begin with, but then again you get what you pay for. Panasonic, PIAA, Catz, Hella, Phillips all make excelent quality HID units. I had a Phillips kit in my 01 Max and the light output was staggering, I could see for like1/4 mile infront of me. I always feared driving at nite and getting pulled over by cops- so I removed my kit. I also had HIDs in the fog lights, I have like 4 kits layn around- making them fit into a headlight requires some customization to the bulb- as the bulbs I use are same as OE Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Audi, Benz bulbs- D2R Philips or Osram bulbs.

What do you mean 194? This is what the guy told me:

"When looking at our H4 bulb there are two bulbs located on one housing, the small one(blue) is a halogen bulb and for high beam only, and HID bulb is for low beam."

What is the drawback of this system? If it has a hi-beam, although it might not be very good, it makes it relatively legal. The HID bulb is still there. All for under $400 and it plugs into the original harness?

Where's the catch besides the weak hi-beam?

Well I have the same styl bulbs layn infront of me- HID D2R Osram bulbs off a 02 TL Type S. And lemme tell ya the bulb for high beam is a 194 bulb- its a little peanut used for side markers on our Maximas- also same one as the courtesy lights in the doors. Its high beam output is going to ba a big joke.

The reason its so inexpensive is because its not a well known hid kit and can fail within a year or two and the output can very well be a joke. But if your going for just looks and not output then knock yourself out, and good luck.

A one year warranty and zero negative reviews for the seller? I am by no means going to for looks, I just don't want to pay top dollar for 5.5 gen lights.
