thieves, dumb and dumber

a few days ago i was driving home after work and noticed i couldnt see well, i got out and inspected my car to notice that someone had started on trying to take my headlights, the weather stripping around the headlights were pulled out and the left bulb was not working. i have a 2k with stock lights, dumb thieves must not have noticed till they got started. luckly all i needed was to redo the weather stripping and get a new bulb. any other non hid owners have this problem?

I didnt have this problem but someone did try to get into my gas tank. I know gas prices are high but this is ridiculous.

WOW, i cant believe this actually happened to someone else too! I got to my car one and saw that the housing on the lights was off my car and hanging. i was totally confused at what had happened. morans took off the housing and for some reason stopped there without continuing (must have noticed that they were being idoits).
Now i look back and laugh about it cause i too luckily only had to replace the weather black housing, no other damage at all.
Additionally, the only reason i didnt buy a 2k2 or 2k3 was b/c of that one fact the HID being stolen all the time. Yea they look great and all, but not worth it for some ******* to come and steal them and damage your whole front bumper too!!!

The best 'dumb thieves' story I know was the one where the guys with a pickup tried to pull an ATM out of the wall and drive home with it. They chained the machine to the bumper, pulled like madmen & only managed to tear the bumper off the pickup -at which point they panicked and drove away, leaving the bumper attached to the chain attached to the machine as evidence . Guess where the license plate on most pickups is?? Yup, they caught the guys the next day.....

I did not see the movie but yes, two men in Arkansas were indeed arrested for that some four years ago

You'd be surprised how dumb people can be.
