Front Left Bose Speaker just stopped!!

Hi. My Front left Bose speaker stopped working a day ago. Sound crackles sometimes and im not sure it the tweater is working either. If i change the Fader and Balance around everything else works fine. Any suggestions? Loose wire?

And yes I did also post this in the audio session, but its not as busy there.
I need my music back asap.

Typical problem. I bought a 2002 5 weeks ago and the left side stops while playing cd's. Got sick of it and got an aftermarket system since it was out of warranty. If you look further on here you will see it is a common problem. What yr Max is yours?

Yup... this is a common issue with the 2k2s... replaced one HU already... some other people have had 4-5 HUs replaced... the Bose is just a PITA... get an aftermarket...

Btw, the Audio forums might have more threads on this... check that out too...

go with aftermarket speakers and not have to deal with this issue once again.. I changed my speakers once with planetaudio speakers which i sell and i havent had a problem with them. There are a lot of speakers to choose from out there, get some feedback in the forums if u decide to change em... good luck

are u saying that if u change the stock bose speakers this problem should go away? I am getting ready to get my second head unit next week.

I had the same problem with my rear speakers (both of them, but not sub) and after 3 new head units and a new amp from Nissan, found out it was none of the above. Took it to an acutal audio repair shop and found out that it was just a loose speaker wire clamp...so if you can find those in the car, check them over. Snapped mine back together and now both speakers are working properly again. Here are some pics of the clamps i am talking about...this just happens to be the one for the rear speakers.

Those clips are in the trunk, right behind the drivers side rear seat, so right above the pass-through into the trunk. Those are the 2 for the rear speakers. The front ones I am not too sure of, but someone has to know from experience where the front ones would be.

If it's the speaker connection, why is it only my CD player cuts out and everything else works fine?

Oh right, sorry.... thanks for the reminder.... that's what I found too... just forgot about that since I never really listen to anything other than cds.... haha... my bad.... in fact, I even posted what you just said somewhere else... so yeah, its just the cd player that cuts in and out... and therefore, its unlikely that its the connection...

Another I just realized this past week is it happens when I brake hard too.... the sound either comes back in or cut outs when I have to brake hard to stop.... although, not everytime, but more often than not...
