Apex'i filter....worth it?????

I currently have a Weapon R intake with a Weapon R dragon filter. I have been reading good things about the Apex'i dry filter, and bad things about oiled filters, which the Weapon R is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think as far as intake tubes go, a tube is a tube as long as it is another short ram. So I was considering, instead of buying a whole berk intake or something like that, just replacing my Weapon R filter with an Apex'i dry filter. Do you guys think its worth the $75 to upgrade filters? Or do you think it would be worth it to upgrade the whole setup? Will an oiled filter really screw up my MAF? Because I'm sure it would be cheaper to upgrade now then to replace a MAF.

People have screwed up thier MAF's even with stock air filters. It might be worth the upgrade and i guess it wouldn't hurt to take every precaution possible.
