my brakes are done. i need new pads and rotors resurfaced. any idea on how much it would cost to get the rotors turned and get aftermarket pads installed by a shop?

 

The dealership in my area wants $190 for this but with OEM pads (front only).

 

My dealer goes for $199 for the front or rear, It's outrageous. I know they do not cost that much. A far as if you can DIY, then it should be a fractional of the price. I believe Checkers auto can turn your rotor for a fee, but the pads, they should cost you at 40-50 bucks top, unless you want some kind of performance pad that may cost you a bit, like you said aftermarket, but that depends on what you're talking about

 

yep those prices are about right. my stealership charged me $199 plus tax to put on new pads and have my rotors resurfaced. that's just for the front.
