23 lbs, 14.9 ounces without tire and with center cap which the '00 and '01 wheels had - a center cap.
And the comment of wheel weight affecting the speedo, that's the biggest load of hooey I have heard in years......

O.K. everyone, that being said, what is a good lightweight forged 18" x 8.5" wheel. I currently have some 18 X 8.5 BBS RS2's and am thinking of going lighter in the same size. I have them shod with 245/40/18's which are the closest in diameter to the stock 17's w/Potenza's.

I didn't have the cash for SSR's or Volks so I got 17x8" Kosei K1 TS's. At 15.5lbs they're fairly light. For tires I used 245-45 Toyo Proxes T1-S they weigh 24.9lbs.
So with a total weight of 40.4lbs I removed about 10 to 12lbs of unsprung weight. Thats 20-24lbs off the front where it counts.
If you're stuck on 18's then it's SSR Comps or Volks. The Comps in 18x7.5 weigh 15.4 and in 18x8.5 weigh 16.8 they're also $400-430 each. Also the Comps in 17x8 only weigh around 14.4lbs
MichaelAE is selling his 18x8.5 Comps w/tires but IMHO I think $2K for used is a bit steep, maybe you don't. Take a look.

so the weight of 51lbs, is that for normal SE wheel+tire or for the AE wheel+tire?
The wheels for AE are slightly more heavier than the normal SEs.
Also, I have a separate set for winter, 16" with tires, which are 10-15 lbs lighter than the stock and i can really feel the extra HP free up (used in turning the wheels)...

I had 60lb Konig Tantrum 18x8" with Potenza Pole Position S03s on my Maxima, when I moved down to 16" 300ZX Z32 NA wheels in black that weight 16lbs each and 225-50-16 Yoko AVS Intermediates not only I was able to chirp 2nd gear with just a POP charger and Ypipe, but I was able to even chirp 3rd gear- on a stock clutch. My wheels n tires weight 23.5lbs. Now I sport some RPO1 Enkei which are know to be very light and I weights them at 14lbs on my scale at work- 17x8.5 with 35mm offset, along with 255-40-17 SP9000 Dunlops- which are really heavy I'm at 28.5lbs at each corner- traction and cornerring abilities are excelent.
