Bad oxygen sensors

I recently went to Midas and they told me that 2 of my oxygen sensors are shot (bank 1, bank 2). They want to charge me $700 for the parts plus labor just to fix! I was told that I could buy the parts seperately for less than $200 each and have them installed. My question for you experts out there is which oxygen sensors to I need to buy? I went to a website http://shop.nissanpartstore.com/?make=NI&year=2000
and there are 8 different sensors to buy. I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with 60K miles and I hope you can help me.

$700 plus labor has got to be one of the biggest rip off I've ever heard. They really think you are a sucker with a fat wallet.

Welcome to the org read the stickies, you will learn and lot and mostly save a lot.

www.oxygensensors.com has good o2 sensors.
also check jerry rome nissan for o2 sensors deals, which ever o2 sensor is for your year car would be the one to go for.

I had Firestone quote me $150 to do one sensor, but that was bank one sensor one and the sensor itself cost about $110. If you just want the sensors and do the labor yourself get in touch with Dave B at Nissan in Austin and he'll hook you up with a good price on OEM sensors.

...his number is 888-254-6060 and ask for Dave Burnett
